This soon-to-be iconic image by Dubai-based Syrian artist Tammam Azzam and the others that were part of the recent London exhibition Art 4 Peace will go on sale today. Art lovers worldwide have a chance to bid on the art in an online auction starting today, UN International Day of Peace, until October 1. Works being auctioned have been inspired by the theme of ‘peace in our cities’ and the artists, some of whom come from conflict-affected regions, have reflected on opportunities for peaceful change in an increasingly urbanised world.
