Art Dubai has announced three new members to its committee of experts in charge of gallery selection and advisors. Glenn Scott Wright, a co-director of London’s prestigious Victoria Miro gallery and Isabelle van den Eynde, owner of her eponymous Dubai gallery will now be part of the committee faced with the tough job of whittling down the many entries for galleries to participate in to the fair. Already on the committee are Andrée Sfeir-Semler from Sfeir-Semler Gallery in Hamburg and Beirut and Ursula Krinzinger of Galerie Krinzinger in Vienna. Iftikhar Dadi, a prominent scholar of regional art joins the group of renowned curators and art historians includng Savita Apte, Catherine David, Kristine Khouri and Nada Shabout on the Advisory Committee for Art Dubai Modern, which remains the only gallery programme of its kind, presenting works by the modern masters of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Art Dubai 2017 will take place from March 15-18 next year at Madinat Jumeirah.
