Applications are open for the 2017 Abraaj Group Art Prize. The prize is aimed at mid-career artists from the Middle East, North Africa or South Asia – those that have participated in dynamic exhibitions, and produced significant bodies of work in the past two or three years. Applicants are asked to put forward proposals for new and imaginative works that define this point in their career and the prize fund will enable them to produce the art works that will be displayed for the first time at next year’s Art Dubai.

The shortlisted applicants will be guided through the process by a guest curator - a post for which applications are also now open.

The curator will be appointed by August and will be included in the selection committee for the artists. Winning and shortlisted artists will be notified in September and announced in October. Art Dubai is set to take place from March 15-18 next year.
