Domestically, messages flooded in from all parts of the country and from all sections of society. Everyone who lives here appreciates the atmosphere of openness and tolerance that characterises Sheikh Khalifa's rule and that of his father, Sheikh Zayed, before him.
Progress reports on the president’s condition followed from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and WAM, the state news agency, informing the world that his condition was stable after prompt medical intervention.
