The New York photographer Ari Seth Cohen has a fashion blog with a difference.
focuses on senior style setters - ie those over 60 who are seeing through their advancing years with a staunch sophistication and unique sartorial approach. Or as Cohen says: "Proof from the wise and silver-haired set that personal style advances with age."
Four years after it began, Cohen has compiled the best of the blog in a new book,
, published this week. A fascinating collection of photographs, interviews, stories and some great style advice from women (and a few men) with years of experience.
Looking at these photos made us think of that lovely poem by Jenny Joseph,
, about the joy that the liberation of older age brings; of doing (and wearing) what you want, when you want.
Here's a preview of what you can expect. We can only hope than when our silver years approach, we'll look half as good as these grand dames.
