Alessandro Michele blew everybody away — including Luxury magazine's fashion team — with his spring/summer 2016 collection for Gucci that he showed last autumn in Milan. Naturally we had to call in three Gucci gowns for our recent fashion editorial for Luxury's May issue.
Some of his glorious gowns, like the one featured on the May cover, were tiered, while others had three-dimensional, floral elements. Perhaps the most captivating, however, was the one look that featured hand-embroidered fish, peacocks and greenery, crafted atop of a soft, nude chiffon background.
The dress, priced at about Dh70,000, also happened to be the outfit of choice for actress Cate Blanchett during her attendance of the Independent Spirit Awards in California, earlier this year.
Situated against a powerful mountain backdrop near Alila Jabal Akhdar in Oman, our model looked like a force to be reckoned with, while retaining a soft romance that was echoed throughout the shoot, titled The Edge of Reason. To see the full fashion story, click here.
