Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the US treasury secretary have discussed joint efforts to dry up sources of terrorism financing in the UAE capital.
The two men also discussed the latest regional and global developments "of mutual concern", as well as investment and trade, at the Sunday meeting, according to UAE state news agency Wam.
Steven Mnuchin was visiting the UAE as part of tour of the region.
The meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace, came as the UAE and other Arab countries are boycotting Qatar over its alleged funding and support of terrorism.
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, National Security Adviser, Dr Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, were also present at the meeting.
US ambassador to the UAE Barbara Leaf accompanied Mr Mnuchin to the meeting, Wam reported.
