Last night at Pitti Uomo, the label MSGM presented its spring/summer 2014 collection at a rather curious location: Alcatraz Stazione Leopalda, an abandoned industrial warehouse right beside the train tracks.

The venue was perfect for the clothes. Designer Massimo Giorgetti says he was inspired by the 1990s scene of surfing, grunge, street and skateboarding.

"Tie-dye is our new mantra," he said.

There was tie-dye in everything, from sweatshirts to jumpers, tees to anoraks. Acid colours were all over hats and trousers, too.

Even the most classic paisley was given the acid treatment.

Here's Massimo Giorgetti before the show began.
