It was impossible to pass along one side of Milan’s famous Piazza del Duomo in the heart of the city on Friday, when model Gigi Hadid made a public appearance.
Hundreds of fans, mostly Italian teenage girls, were gathered outside the doors of upmarket department store La Rinascente, holding banners for Hadid and balloons saying “I love you Gigi.”
Inside, the 21-year-old was unveiling her latest collection for Tommy Hilfiger, called TommyXGigi Spring 2017. Unperturbed by the wintry weather, Hadid wore pieces from her new range, including a white crop top, a biker jacket and matching trousers in ice blue leather. Hadid styled her look with a pair of cowboy mules.
Other separates in the new collection include skinny fit jeans with sewed-on badges, varsity denim bomber jackets and cropped polo shirts.
