Behold, the November 2016 cover of Luxury magazine. To produce this image, our fashion team spent a day at The Green Planet, the newly opened indoor rainforest located in City Walk, Dubai. The 10-page fashion shoot, which features an array of stunning autumn/winter 2016 designs from fashion houses like Chanel, Gucci and Saint Laurent, showcases a great deal of local fashion talent too. Regional designers like House of Nomad, Dima Ayad, Madiyah Al Sharqi, Taller Marmo and Aavva are highlighted in the shoot, which is depicted against a backdrop of lush foliage.
The cover image, which was shot in a tunnel structure at The Green Planet, shows a romantic pink tiered dress by Aavva — a Lebanese-Brazilian fashion label founded in the UAE. Draped over the model’s shoulders is a glorious Fendi coat, gold and structured, with pleated, accordion-style panels. Gucci earrings, formed from upside-down hand peace signs that are covered in pink jewels, dangle from the model’s ears.
