This week, gun salutes rang out across London as celebrations honoured Queen Elizabeth II’s record-breaking platinum reign, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Europe should be prepared for “something absolutely disastrous happening very soon” after crisis talks on Ukraine with Nato’s chief, and a mural painted by Banksy was removed from its home in Wales and taken to a secure location after attempts by “fanatics” to damage the artwork.
