Toy Minion saves girl, 5, from death in fall

A stuffed toy helped save a 5-year-old girl’s life after she fell out of a third-story apartment window, police in Colorado said.

COLORADO SPRINGS // A toy Minion saved a five-year-old girl’s life after she fell from a third-floor apartment window.

She held on to the stuffed toy and it cushioned her fall.

Colorado Springs police said the girl was playing in her room on Thursday night when she fell backwards out of her bedroom window and dropped three floors to the ground.

She was treated in hospital for a broken arm, and discharged.

Minions are small yellow creatures popularised by the animated film Despicable Me.
