They flipped cars, climbed traffic lights and ‘skydived’ from the Ritz hotel awning before collapsing it last night, as they poured down Philadelphia’s streets to celebrate the Eagles’ historic Super Bowl championship win.
If anything, the Eagles fans kept to their reputation of being rowdy, unruly and zealous in expressing their dedication and joy over the win.
Ajeenah Amir, a spokeswoman for Philadelphia's mayor Jim Kenney, said in a statement: "Tens of thousands came out and celebrated this amazing victory last night, and but for a handful of bad actors the celebration was peaceful and jubilant. There were only three arrests." She praised the police for "their assistance in getting the crowds dispersed and people home safely."
The unruly behaviour involved breaking the awning of the Ritz hotel in downtown Philadelphia after almost thirty people jumped on it:

The wild celebrations pushed Philadelphia’s public transit system to adjust its hours last night before resuming this morning:
BSL: Trains will operate normal service until 12:30AM. Night Owl bus service is suspended until further notice due to multiple street closures.

As the clean-up started on Monday, the city is hoping to celebrate in a more conventional fashion with a parade planned for the Eagles on Thursday.
