The brother of US Olympic gold medallist and gymnast Simone Biles has been charged in connection with a triple murder.
Tevin Biles-Thomas was detained in Cleveland, Ohio over a New Year’s Eve shooting that left another two people injured from gunshot wounds.
The 24-year-old, who is in the US Army, is the only person thus far to be charged with the shooting at an Airbnb rented place. According to Cleverland.com the gunfire came after a fight broke out when a number of men turned up at a party uninvited.
Devaughn Gibson, 23, DelVaunte Johnson, 19, Toshon Banks, 21 were named as those killed.
“The relentless persistence of Cleveland police homicide detectives helped secure an indictment in this case,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor O’Malley said. “It is through their hard work that we can begin to seek justice for these victims.”
Ms Biles, who has won four Olympic gold medals and one Bronze, has yet to comment but in a cryptic tweet posted hours after her brothers arrest said: “Eating my feelings don’t talk to me.”
