From to tackling obstacles to loading weapons blindfolded, it's a rigorous four-year course at the Egyptian Police Academy.

The Cairo academy programme includes practical training in military drills, civil defence and marksmanship as well as security administration, criminal investigation, forensics, and cryptology.

Successful cadets receive a bachelor's degree in police studies and become commissioned first lieutenants.
