Muslims all over the world watched the Grand Holy Mosque replace the Kaaba's kiswah.
The kiswah, or cover, is made of natural silk and dyed in black. It is 14 metres high, 47m in length, and is surrounded by Islamic motifs.
The Kaaba's cover is replaced every year on the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah.
The King Abdulaziz Complex for Holy Kaaba Kiswah is tasked with producing a new kiswah for Hajj. The company employs more 200 people who are fully qualified and trained.
