Prince William dusts off military uniform for Sovereign's Parade at Sandhurst - in pictures

The Duke of Cambridge represents Queen Elizabeth to inspect the Sovereign's Parade at Sandhurst

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, returned to his military roots to inspect the Sovereign's Parade on behalf of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

The prince, second in line to the British throne, observed graduating officer cadets who have completed the Commissioning Course.

According to, 169 officer cadets from the UK and 25 cadets from 19 other countries took part in the parade.

Prince William, a Sandhurst graduate, spent seven years in the military. He presented awards including the Sword of Honour, the Overseas Sword and the Queen's Medal during the inspection.
