A video showing a British Airlines plane struggling to land at Heathrow Airport has gone viral after strong winds from Storm Erik forced the aircraft to abort a nervy first landing attempt.
Footage posted on Twitter showed it bouncing around on approach to landing before the pilot abandoned the landing and circled the airport. The aircraft landed safely on the second attempt.
The footage was posted on Twitter by Big Jet TV, which said it had "witnessed this insane #TOGA (Take Off/Go Around)".

The manoeuvere is commonly used when landings are not going to plan.
"Our highly skilled pilots regularly train to conduct the standard manoeuvre known as a 'go around'," A British Airways spokeswoman told UK media. "The aircraft circled the airport and landed safely."
The British Airways 276 flight was travelling from the Indian city of Hyderabad. It was due to land at 12.35pm local time but arrived 18 minutes late after the aborted landing.
Storm Erik has lashed the UK with 112 kilometre per hour winds. Weather warnings have been issued for the south coast of England, Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland.
One man died after a tree fell on his car in Devon on Friday morning.
