The general department for protective security and emergency at Dubai Police announced the introduction of a female anti-riot squad in its anti-riot team - the first of its kind in the UAE.
The general department for protective security and emergency, along with the mounted unit and security inspection department, made special efforts to train the women to deal with female riot-mongers in compliance with Arab traditions.
The initiative coincided with the 25th anniversary of Dubai Police Academy and the graduation of the 20th batch of students.
