ABU DHABI // Fifteen notices were issued to residents for violating the health and hygiene regulations of Abu Dhabi Municipality.
They were fined Dh1,000 for drying laundry outside their homes or on their balconies and balustrades. Repeat offenders can face fines double that.
The municipality’s multi-lingual poster information campaign “is intended to educate residents on these violations, and encourage them to work jointly with the municipality to upgrade the aesthetic appearance of our cities” it said.
It suggested residents use electric driers and clothes drying racks.
