ABU DHABI // Temperatures continue to rise across the UAE on Wednesday while humidity levels will remain high.

Partly cloudy and hazy weather is expected with winds causing sand and dust to blow over some areas during the day, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said.

Inland areas can expect maximums of 46°C, dipping to 25°C at night, while coastal temperatures vary between 41°C and 26°C, and between 32°C and 22°C in the mountains.

Relative humidity levels will reach as high as 90 per cent along the coast, 85 per cent inland and 50 per cent in the mountains, the centre said.

Humidity levels will peak at night and early Thursday morning, leading to a chance of fog and mist across the country.

Sea conditions will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

The highest temperature recorded in the country on Tuesday was 48.5°C in Mezaira in the Al Dhafra region at 2.45pm.
