AJMAN // Bad weather sweeping across the country since the weekend is expected to continue today with strong winds and cloudy skies in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and chance of rain in the northern emirates.

The high winds that whipped up dust and sand, reducing visibility for motorists across the country is expected to continue, said the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS). Drivers are urged to reduce speed and leave enough space between vehicles to avoid accidents.

“There is still wind and the same condition will be continuous over the whole day and night, the sea will be very rough and humidity will increase by night,” said NCMS spokesman.

Temperatures are expected to reach no more than 23C during the day, dropping to as low as 10C in some parts of the country in the evening.

In the northern emirates, the weather is expected to remain cloudy with rough sea.
