UAE weather: Cooler weather over the weekend

This weekend will be colder as temperatures drop with low cloud cover increasing over the coastal areas, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

Temperatures continued to drop ranging from 9 to 29°C in the interior regions, 12 to 27°C along the coast, 6 to 20°C in the mountains over night. The lowest temperature recorded in the country was 3.8°C in Damtha on Thursday morning and the highest temperature was 28.3 °C in Saih al Salem on Wednesday.

The maximum humidity is expected to range between 50 to 85 per cent across coastal regions, while the interior areas could peak at 90 per cent and up to 60 per cent in the mountains.

The weather service forecast rainfall over some areas in the north and east as well as over the islands.

There is a chance of haze at times with winds picking up at night blowing dust and reducing visibility.

The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will turn rough over the next two days.
