UAE Weather: Cool start, then a fine sunny day for most

A chilly 5°C was felt overnight in the Hajar Mountains, but the weekend weather promises to be clear, sunny and warm for many with the mercury reaching highs of 23°C along the east coast.

After a cool start on Friday and Saturday, it will be perfect weather for those heading to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship golf tournament, with a full day of sun likely and highs of 20°C, according to the National Center of Meteorology.

More cloud is expected to drift in to Dubai and to the Northern Emirates on Friday afternoon, with light to moderate winds from the north reaching 15kph.

Humidity will increase overnight bringing the chance of fog patches into the early hours of Saturday, particularly in coastal areas, before leaving another clear, fine day for many with temperatures again in the low 20s.

Sunny, warm days are expected to continue into the start of the working week on Sunday.
