UAE weather: Clear skies and 48°C feel with dust storms later in the week

DUBAI // Temperatures will top 38°C in the capital on Tuesday and anyone spending time outside is advised to cover up or wear sunscreen.

Clear skies are forecast across most of the UAE, with daytime temperatures reaching 37°C in Dubai but it is likely to feel more like 48°C, ahead of dust storms that are likely to sweep into the country by Thursday.

The temperature will 40°C on Tuesday in the Northern Emirates, but slightly less humid in coastal areas than elsewhere in the country.

Overnight temperatures are likely to reach 28°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as clear skies and settled conditions continue into Wednesday, before a period of more difficult weather on Thursday.

Strengthening winds of up to 25kph on Thursday could lead to blowing dust and difficult driving conditions.
