ABU DHABI // The UAE Embassy in Lebanon is sending people to Haj, distributing clothes and providing sacrificial meat as part of its Eid Al Adha events.
The humanitarian projects are being implemented by the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Emirates Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Lebanese government.
Hamad Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Lebanon, said that the UAE’s leadership gives extra attention to the implementation of charitable and humanitarian projects locally and internationally.
He added that the projects are in line with the embassy’s annual programmes in Beirut to mark Eid Al Adha, which includes segments of the Lebanese community, Palestinian camps and Syrian refugees. The projects also aim to provide support and aid to the underprivileged and needy during this holy occasion, he added.
