DUBAI // Drivers faced congestion on the morning commute as several accidents were reported.
In the capital, a broken down car on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street and Rabdan Street towards the Corniche blocked the left lane but it was moved after about 20 minutes.
Motorists leaving Jumeirah Village Triangle in Dubai faced delays as multiple accidents were reported on Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road after Sports City near the Al Khail Road and Al Fay Road interchange towards Abu Dhabi, causing congestion and tailbacks.
An accident was also reported on Sheikh Zayed Road after Safa Park towards Abu Dhabi causing serious congestion and tailbacks, with drivers beings asked to drive with caution.
A minor collision on Sheikh Zayed Road heading north to Sharjah at the Al Manara Road interchange towards the World Trade Centre was reported just after 8am, adding about 10 minutes to travel time.
