DUBAI // A number of incidents on Sheikh Zayed Road led to heavy congestion for commuters on Wednesday morning.
An accident involving more than two vehicles at 8am near Ibn Battuta Mall towards Abu Dhabi led to tailbacks as police urged residents to abide by traffic laws.
Police said another accident took place on Sheikh Zayed Road near Jebel Ali Port Bridge in the direction of the capital. Residents reported another incident near the Danube Metro Station.
Along the Sharjah-Dubai border, motorists experienced the usual congestion on Sheikh Mohommed bin Zayed Road.
No injuries were reported.
