UAE traffic: A few crashes congest UAE roads

Some traffic was reported on a number of roads across the UAE

A few accidents took place on the UAE’s roads Wednesday morning causing some traffic early on.

A minor accident took place near Al Warqa’a 1 on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road Abu Dhabi-bound.

In Sharjah, another accident took place on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near the city’s Industrial Area 11 Dubai-bound. Heavy congestion was reported was Al Turffan area all the way to Mirdif City Centre.

Sheikh Zayed Road experienced some traffic Sharjah-bound from the Gold and Diamond Park to Al Safa 2 as well as Hessa Street from Al Barsha South 2 to the Jebel Ali Race Course.

In Abu Dhabi, a crash was reported on the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street into the capital, causing major traffic outwards to the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road around the Sas Al Nakhel area.

Congestion was also heavy on the Abu Dhabi-Sweihan-Al Hiyar Road (E20) going into Abu Dhabi from Khalifa City to the Mohammed bin Zayed City and on Salam Street from the Abu Dhabi Police Officer’s Club to Al Reem Island.
