Two million people have used Dubai public transport so far this year

Dubai hopes to increase public transport's share of journeys in the emirate to 30 per cent by 2030.

DUBAI // More than 273 million trips were taken on Dubai’s public transport in the first half of this year.

The total exceeded 271.3 million journeys in the first six months of last year on Dubai Metro, tram, bus, cabs and water taxis by more than two million, reaching 273.4 million, said Mattar Al Tayer, director general of the Roads and Transport Authority.
