RAS AL KHAIMAH // Three people were injured in an eight-vehicle pile-up on Monday, RAK Police said.
The car accident happened at 7.30am on the Shamal-Nakheel road and was caused by speeding and too little distance between vehicles, Col Ali Saeed Al Alkim, director of RAK Police’s traffic and patrols department, said.
One car overturned before the others crashed into it.
The injured were treated in hospital but were released within hours.
The accident caused a large traffic jam.
Col Al Alkim urged all motorists to adhere to traffic regulations, to abide by speed limits and leave a safe distance between vehicles.
