SHARJAH // A lorry carrying a delivery of Red Bull and crisps flipped on its side at a roundabout near airport road, closing the roundabout and causing traffic delays.
Police said the accident happened at 9.15am Thursday, close to Sharjah drivers and traffic department.
Police patrols and emergency crews arrived at the scene to remove the lorry, and direct traffic.
Lorry driver, Asef, from Pakistan, said that he was driving at a low speed and wanted to exit the roundabout.
“I don’t know what happened, the lorry just swerved and flipped on its side closing the roundabout,” he said.
A police officer at the scene said no-one was injured in the incident.
“I have Red Bull and a chips inside the lorry, and I was on my way to deliver them,” added the Pakistani driver.
Sharjah police cleared the accident area and removed the flipped lorry.
