ABU DHABI // There was heavy congestion and a number of minor accidents on roads in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Sunday morning.
Abu Dhabi Police reported a multiple-car accident inbound on Al Khaleej Al Arabi street at the intersection with Saada street.
There was congestion on Old Airport Road after Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and on the Al Ain to Abu Dhabi road.
In Dubai, an accident caused major congestion on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi between the World Trade Center and Safa Park.
An accident on D61 Hessa Street after Al Khail Road’s intersection with Jumeirah caused rush hour delays.
A third accident was reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road opposite Jumeirah Village Triangle approaching Dubai Investments Park towards Abu Dhabi, which also caused congestion and traffic delays.
There was a minor accident on E44 Ras Al Khor Road ahead of the Dubai Mall exit towards Abu Dhabi.
