RTA slashes cost of Nol cards for two months

A 50 per cent discount has been announced on nol cards used for public transport in Dubai from July 26 until September 24.

DUBAI // The price of nol cards for public transport in Dubai will be discounted up to 50 per cent from July 26 until September 24.

“This covers blue cards to be issued for Dh35 (instead of Dh70) and gold cards for Dh45 (previously Dh80),” said Khalid Al Awadi, director of RTA’s automated fare collection systems department. “Standard cards with special designs will be Dh65 (previously Dh100) and gold cards with special designs Dh65 (previously Dh110).”

The aim of the discount is to attract users to public transport.

Sales of personalised nol cards in the first half of this year was up 160 per cent from last year and sales of seasonal permits climbed to 94 per cent.
