DUBAI // Three-dimensional maps of public bus routes and shaded seating areas are now available in 16 bus stations across Dubai.

The Road and Transport Authority’s (RTA) Public Transport Agency said on Wednesday that the maps are part of the system that shows bus routes and service points, and can help locate lost property.

“We are also improving the inquiry service for lost items through the toll-free number 800 9090 and reporting the case to staff in charge of found and lost items,” said Adel Shakri, RTA’s director of Planning and Business Development.

“Valuable lost items and documents used to be dispatched to police each weekly, but under this improved plan, such items will be sent every 48 hours as customers need belongings as soon as possible,” he said.

Mr Al Shakri said that the RTA is “working on the provision of seats for passengers based on public feedback”.
