DUBAI // Several accidents caused traffic delays in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Wednesday morning.
Dubai Police tweeted about a car accident on the exit of the Airport tunnel towards Sharjah, and accidents took place on Sheikh Zayed Road opposite Tecom in Al Barsha, also on the Sharjah-bound lanes.
Another occurred before Noor Bank Metro Station towards Sharjah, causing heavy congestion.
There was a crash on E66 Oud Metha Road interchange near Wafi Mall on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi, and another after Jumeirah Lakes Towers towards the capital.
On Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, an accident occurred opposite Jumeirah Village Triangle approaching Dubai Investments Park on the Abu Dhabi-bound lanes.
The Dubai-Al Ain Road was the scene of two accidents – one near the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road intersection towards Dubai and the other near Nad Al Sheba.
In the capital, a bus broke down on the Corniche at Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street heading towards Mina.
And a car broke down on Sheikh Zayed Street inbound after the Mangrove underpass. Both caused delays, Abu Dhabi traffic police tweeted.
