Pedestrian killed in Sharjah car accident

SHARJAH // A 30-year-old Pakistani man was killed after being hit by a car in the early hours of Sunday.

The police central operations room was informed at 6.30am about the accident in the Al Humarya area and dispatched police and an ambulance. The man died at the scene.

Police said that the man was attempting to cross the road when he was hit. The body was taken to Khalifah hospital in Ajman before being handed over to the family.

The police did not release information regarding the driver of the vehicle involved, however they said that the case file has been transferred to the appropriate departments to complete the legal procedures.

Officers urged pedestrians to use extreme caution when crossing roads and to only use the designated areas.
