A man was crushed to death on Friday after his car was hit by a speeding vehicle on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
The Asian driver is believed to have broken down and was hit by a speeding vehicle, Sharjah Police said.
The motorist was killed on the spot.
Maj Omar Bu Ghanem, head of traffic and patrols department at Sharjah, urged drivers to remove their vehicles from the road in case of an accident or whether it broke down.
“It is very dangerous to stop the vehicle in the middle of the road and not to step out of it,” he said.
