DUBAI // A gathering of one of the world’s iconic sports car marques will take place in Dubai this weekend at Dubai Motor Festival.

Ferrari owners from across the UAE will gather at CityWalk to showcase some of the rare cars that have been manufactured by the Italian sports car maker.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 7, from 10am to 12.30pm, giving fans the opportunity to pose for pictures alongside the cars.

“The Ferrari Owners’ Club UAE is one of the country’s most active motoring association and we are excited to demonstrate our support for the Dubai Motor Festival,” said Tani Hanna, the club’s president.

“The festival celebrates the spirit of motoring and provides enthusiasts with a great opportunity to see some of the world’s most beautiful and exclusive sports cars in a safe and secure setting. The UAE and the region have a great love for cars and horses and what better than a multitude of prancing horses to provide the thrill and emotions that only the name Ferrari can,” he said, alluding to the Ferarri badge.

Dubai Motor Festival runs between November 10 and 21. “With a large number of the world’s best Ferraris coming together in one place, it’s one of the most impressive Ferrari events the region has seen, making it a magnificent way to kick off this year’s Dubai Motor Festival,” said the festival director, Jin Chwen Ong.

Residents are also expected to flock to Motor Village for the appearance of stunt driver Ken Block and a number of other demonstrations.

A parade of super cars through Dubai will bring the festival to a close.
