FUJAIRAH // An Emirati reporter died and another man was injured in a car accident on Wednesday.
Police were alerted to the incident on the Dibba-Masafi Road at 7.45am.
“A car collided head-on into another vehicle and resulted in the death of Firas Al Zeyoudi, 32, and the injury of the other driver,” said Major Saeed Al Hassani, head of the media department at Fujairah Police.
The funeral for Al Zeyoudi, who worked for the Emirates News Agency (Wam), was held at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Dibba after Al Zuhr prayers.
Wam extended its condolences to his family.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
