DUBAI // Three hundred "distinguished" four and five digit number plates with codes A, B, and C will go under the hammer at the 17th online Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) number plate auction on January 29.
Registration for the auction will open on Tuesday at www.rta.ae, or at any of RTA Customer Service Centres. Each participant must have a traffic file and deposit a sum of Dh5,000, which is refundable in case no successful bid is made.
Credit cards and cheques are accepted methods of payment. Other payment options can be arranged with Customers Service Team through RTA's toll-free number 800 9090.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
