Dubai Police are planning to launch a campaign to warn drivers against speeding. Coll Jassim Mirza, director of the security awareness department, highlighted the importance of the ‘Speed is a killer campaign’, which will urge motorists, especially those aged 18 to 35 who commit most serious violations, to avoid speeding and endangering motorists’ lives.

Col Jassim said his department was keen on involving schools, universities and mosques to spread knowledge, as well as using print, broadcast and online media for publicity.

The campaign was discussed at a meeting chaired by Col Jassim and attended by a number of police officials.
