AJMAN // More than 160 abandoned vehicles have been removed from streets across Ajman, the municipality said.
Moving the 161 cars was sanctioned by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the municipality chief, said Abdul Rahman Rashid Al Nuaimi, its general director.
“The campaign was carried out to urge everyone to abide by the laws and circulars issued,” the general director said, adding that abandoned cars ruined the look of the emirate and posed a health risk to residents.
“The municipality will continue its campaign throughout the year to deter the offenders and confront this provocative phenomenon, which affects negatively various aspects of life.”
