Special Olympics: Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed casts a keen eye

Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, visited the training camps for the national teams participating in the Abu Dhabi 2019 Special Olympics World Games, casting a keen eye on preparations ahead of the international event.

During the visit, Sheikh Nahyan was briefed about preparations of the athletics, basketball, badminton, table tennis, judo and cycling teams.

He hailed the determination of both organisers and teams in what is set to be a keenly watched festival of sport. At the end of the visit, the delegation of the Games presented a souvenir for Sheikh Nahyan. The global event will be held from 14th to 21st March.
