AL AIN // In the run up to Eid Al Fitr, some shops at the Souq Al Zaafaranah will be open for 24 hours.
Ali Al Shamsi, director of the market, said that the fruit, vegetable and meat shops will have extended opening hours in the week up to the holiday.
The market is the largest in Al Ain, featuring 229 shops and stalls, including a large supermarket.
It also features a heritage section selling traditional handmade items.
Al Ain Municipality intends to expand the heritage village to accommodate the increasing number of visitors.
