Ski Dubai organises a march of its penguins

DUBAI // Ski Dubai will mark World Penguin Day on April 25 by creating a mini-migration route for its resident birds.

Adelie penguins in the Antarctic traditionally begin their annual northward migration on this day and the indoor ski park has created a northly track for the penguins to follow.

Designated viewing spots will allow visitors to follow the march of the penguins and even join in as they journey across the trail, guided by a team of Ski Dubai staff.

"The Snow Penguins are a part of the Ski Dubai family and it is our endeavour to do everything we can to celebrate these magnificent creatures while simultaneously raising awareness about their natural habitat and the conservation efforts needed to sustain them for generations to come," said Omar El Banne, the marketing and sales director of Majid Al Futtaim Leisure & Entertainment.
