Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah, has allocated Dh500,000 to organise the Emirates Festival of Child Theatre next month in Sharjah.
The move comes in line with Sheikh Sultan’s vision on building the society, with a strong emphasis on children.
Abdullah Al Owais, chairman of the Department of Culture and Information, said the theatre, which was founded by the Ruler of Sharjah in 2005, was an effective cultural and educational tool to inculcate noble values in children
On his part, Ismail Abdullah, Chairman of the UAE Theatrical Association (UAETA), said the child theatre bears an important message for the world.
