Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed meets media leaders of tomorrow

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces welcomed a group of young people to Al Bahr Palace

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed brought together more than 100 Arab youths in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to discuss ways of advancing different communities in the region.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces invited the participants, who were part of the third Young Arab Media Leaders Programme, to Al Bahr Palace.

Speaking about the important role young Arab people play in the advancement of Arab societies, Sheikh Mohamed said it was vital they were given the opportunity to share their ideas and innovations towards achieving better social cohesion.

"The development of the media in our Arab world has become an urgent necessity to build and strengthen trust between the Arab societies and their leaders ... to help achieve the dreams and aspirations of the people," he said.

The gathering saw more than 100 young people come together from 19 Arab countries.
