Sharjah mass wedding to take place at the end of year

The weddings are held to help Emirati couples get married without falling into debt.

Sharjah will hold its third mass wedding this year in December.

The wedding will be organised by Sharjah Charity International and coincides with the charity’s silver jubilee, as well as UAE National Day.

Mass unions take place across the country, with one in Dubai in March last year seeing 51 couples tie the knot.

Part of the reasoning behind the weddings is to help Emirati couples from getting into debt when planning such an occasion.
