ABU DHABI // Players and staff from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad Football Club arrived in Abu Dhabi airport on Monday ahead of their pre-season training camp in the UAE.
Etihad Airways welcomed the club to the capital where they will spend the next week training as well as playing a friendly match against Al Jazira Club.
The Jeddah-based team will also travel to Dubai to play a friendly against Baniyas Club.
Founded in 1927, Al Ittihad team has existed longer than the Saudi Arabia itself which was established in 1932.
Etihad Airways was announced as the official airline of Al Ittihad in July this year.
